My G603 had one in the box, but it's not very good. don't install it on a rear I/O panel)Ģ) If you have no other choice - use some sort of USB extender. There are, however, few very important things to remember:ġ) Make sure that your wireless receiver is not blocked by anything (e.g. Not sure why it would suddenly not be sufficient to not be a powered USB run.Click to expand. It's actually pretty good nowadays. \*I'd like to add that my setup is I have a USB extension cable that connects my unifying receiving in my ceiling (~8ft from mouse) and runs ~20' to my server rack in my closet. Only changing to my ceiling setup resolved it.until now. This is odd in that when I first got this mouse and keyboard and set them up to this same unifying receiver in the same powered USB3.0 hub, they would stutter/lag bad. Tried many other ports (3.1 included) and none fixed the problem.Įnded up taking the unifying receiver that came with my Logi keyboard, placed it into my powered USB3.0 hub on my desk, paired the mouse to it and stuttering has disappeared. I tried changing from a USB3.0 to 2.0 port. It started out maybe once a day where it would stutter a few times but now, about every minute or so it will just be unusable for 20-30 seconds. Windows 7 user here and have had the MX Master 3 for 2 years now and only just started having this stuttering issue within the past few days. This is expensive premium hardware we are talking about and there is no solution in sight, this is quite a disaster. The weird thing is, i am using unifying keyboard + mouse for many years now, i never had so much trouble with the connection. I don't think the game is going crazy on the GPU load and my card was able to handle the game without any issues before. Sometimes i see the connection indicator on the keyboard flash, maybe to indicate the connection drop running into a timeout, then i usually have to press the key and then the keyboard works again right away. Afterwards, usually random buttons will fail to work on both devices and if i press one button multiple times, the input is sent to the game in quick succession after a couple more seconds. But when the connection drops, it drops for both devices at the same time. It just randomly starts and the more i play, the less likely it seems to happen. Now for my home PC, 2 month ago i moved to another place and ever since, I experience heavy input lag on both devices, usually only when playing Rocket League (to be fair, it's the only 3D game i play right now). But i eventually figured it was my USB3 docking station crapping out (it does quite often), once i put the unifying dongle right into the laptop the issue rarely ever happens. On my work laptop, I noticed right from the start that the mouse frequently skips movement input, making the cursor go all over the place. I use both MX Keys and MX Master 3 for about a year now, to switch between home and work PC while keeping the smooth touch. No change.Īny suggestions for how I could try to track down what is causing the problem? Made sure the mouse battery was fully charged. I have tried plugging the dongle into several different USB ports on my system, and even into a USB port in my monitor, so that the dongle is literally 10 inches away from the mouse. Plus, I want to use Options for customization anyway. One post I found suggested that uninstalling the Logitech Options program fixed it. In the Logitech Options window, you can see in the little status bar that it has lost connection and regains it. When the mouse drops, it makes me want to throw the thing out the window. This mouse is targeted toward the creative industry, after all. I'm always dragging 3D objects into place, or dragging sliders to adjust parameters, and at these times I need precision. But when I am dragging something, it causes me to "drop" what I'm dragging (as if I un-pressed the mouse button when it lost connection, then pressed it again once connection is restored). They are so brief that it looks more like a "stutter" as far as the motion of the cursor. I experience intermittent drops in connection very frequently (at its worst, once every ten seconds other times once every few minutes). I'm on Windows 10, with a Logitech MX Master 3 connected via the "unifying dongle."
